34rd Annual Pansy Sale

Preordering for the Pansy Sale has ended.  Pick up your ordered pansies Saturday November 11 between 10am and 3pm at Powhatan House, 3427 Avenue O.  If you don't make it during that time, we will place your pansies inside the frontyard with your name and order sheet posted adjacent to your order.  Please pick up as soon as possible, as we cannot guarantee their security.

As of Thursday night, there are only a very few flats of pansies remaining available for purchase on Saturday.  Thank you all for your support of the Pansy Sale and the Galveston Garden Club

The Galveston Garden Club's Fall Pansy Sale is Saturday November 11, 10am-3pm at Powhatan House, 3427 Avenue O.

A flat of 18 plants in four inch pots is $26.00.

We strongly encourage using our slow release fertilizer, as pansies are heavy feeders.  A $3.00 bag is enough to fertilize one flat of pansies for the season.

Colossus Series

Colossus is a large bloomed pansy that does well in the heat and humidity of early fall in the South. Their upward facing blooms can get to 3-4″ across. Colossus has a tight growth habit that is less prone to stretching in warm weather. The Colossus Pansy series is predominately comprised of “blotch” bloomed varieties but it also includes a few solid colors, shades, bi-color and a tricolor.

Delta Series

Delta flowers are held upright on short sturdy stems. This series is extremely weather tolerant. A wide range oclear and blotched color types provide a broad color selection from which to choose!  Delta Premium pansy varieties have been improved for uniformity  across the range of colors. They exhibit less stretching, yet maintain the early and continuous flowering capacity under low light conditions for which the Delta series is known.

Matrix Series

Matrix Pansy varieties come in a rainbow of colors that can range from solid to blotch to two or more colors in one!  The plants have superior branching that are able to support the abundant amount of blooms that are produced by each plant.  The short stems resist stretching and are able to keep the blooms upright. Matrix pansy blooms are considered mid-sized but with their 3-3.5″ blooms they are definitely at the high end of the curve.
